Latest version of studio condenser mic revealed

Rode have announced the launch of the NT1 Signature Series, the latest version of their hugely popular studio microphone. The new model joins the NT1 5th Generation and offers the same high-performance specs combined with the XLR-only connectivity of the previous generation. For the first time ever, the mic is also available in a range of limited edition colour finishes.

The mic is loaded with Rode’s one-inch HF6 large-diaphragm capsule, and promises to deliver the signature NT1 sound, with a rich low-end response complemented by a detailed mid range and sparkling high end that will suit a wide range of sources. It offers a tight cardioid polar pattern allowing for excellent rejection of background noise, and is capable of withstanding SPLs of up to 142dB. Rode specify a self-noise figure of just 4dBA, which is said to qualify the mic as the world’s quietest studio condenser design.

The NT1 Signature Series comes supplied with a shockmount, pop filter and premium XLR cable. It is available finished in black, or a range of limited edition colours including red, purple, green, pink and blue.
