The latest chapter of EastWest’s fantasy-focused orchestral library series has arrived, delivering a range of choral parts designed specifically for cinematic scores. Hollywood Fantasy Voices captures singer Merethe Soltvedt performing with full male and female choirs, and includes sustains, legatos, phrases and words, the last of which have been recorded in Tolkien’s Elvish language!
Sustained notes can be switched between Lyrical and Vibrato modes, offering a mixture of different tonal options, whilst parts that demand maximum realism and expression will benefit from the library’s true legato parts. Ascending and descending transitions have been recorded within an octave, allowing users to ensure that even large intervals sound as convincing as possible.
A range of ad lib phrases are included, and are all organised into patches based on their key, making quick work of finding the ideal part. Aiming to provide the ultimate in fantasy choral scoring, the library includes a collection of 60 individual words performed in Tolkien’s original Elvish language which can be used individually, or chained together to form phrases.
A keyswitch section brings together all key elements of the library into a series of condensed patches, allowing composers to quickly access a range of different parts without navigating menus and loading multiple instances. Included are full, men’s and women’s choirs, and Merethe’s recordings of sustains, phrases, and Elvish words.
Compatibility
Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra runs in EastWest’s Opus software, which is supported on PCs running Windows 10 and Macs running macOS 10.13 or later. VST2, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
